About DaJent

DaJent is a music-library and set-preparation tool for DJs. It analyzes the tracks in your library by key, BPM, energy, cue points and descriptive tags. It organizes them into a library you can actually navigate, helps you build sets around an energy curve, and exports the result to USB in a rekordbox-compatible format so it loads straight onto Pioneer CDJs.

Why we built it

Breaking into DJing in 2026 feels like stepping back into the early 2000s. The interfaces are dated, and the tools do not get the job done. Time is scarcer than ever, yet DJs still burn hours on music preparation instead of on their craft. That grind slows gigging DJs down, and it discourages beginners from ever breaking in. DJing should be something that anyone can enjoy, and with more enthusiasts, we’ll have better DJs.

Our journey

The team behind DaJent LLC works out of Santa Barbara, California, alongside the DJs who use the product. We experienced the struggles of using clunky DJ software that was made for mixing instead of music preparation, and wanted to change that.

But what if we were wrong? So we tested it.

We interviewed 50+ actively gigging DJs, from local bars and weddings to international festivals, to learn exactly what DJs were fed up with. We then opened our limited beta to further test the platform, and within a few weeks, we reached capacity at 400 users. We want to give a special shoutout to all of our beta users for providing such detailed feedback, which allowed us to release DaJent as we know it today. We are always looking to improve and welcome any feedback to make everyone’s experience (including the crowd’s) better.
