Dajent Cancellation & Refund Policy
Effective date: August 31, 2026
Version: 1.4
This policy explains how to cancel your Dajent subscription and how refunds work. It is part of our Terms of Service. "DaJent," "we," and "us" mean DaJent LLC, 8 The Green STE B, Dover, DE 19901.
Cancel any time, online
You can cancel your paid subscription any time, online, from your account settings — no phone call, no email required, no chat. Cancelling takes the same or fewer steps than signing up.
How to cancel:
- Sign in to Dajent.
- Go to Settings → Billing.
- Select Manage billing. This opens your secure Stripe billing portal in a new tab.
- Cancel your subscription from the billing portal and confirm.
You will see an on-screen confirmation immediately, and we will email you a confirmation.
What happens when you cancel
When you cancel, your subscription stops renewing. You keep your paid access until the end of the current billing period — you do not lose access right away, and you will not be charged again after that period (unless you resubscribe).
At the end of the period, your account moves to the free tier. If your library or files exceed the free-tier limits, we keep your full library and files for 30 days so you can export them or resubscribe. After 30 days, we may remove content above your current tier's limits. See our Privacy Policy for data retention details, and the Terms for failed-payment downgrades.
Export your data. You can export your library and data at any time before or during the 30-day window from your account settings.
Refunds
Our 14-day money-back guarantee
If you are a new subscriber and you are not satisfied, you can request a refund of your first paid subscription payment within 14 days of that charge. The refund is what you paid, minus $0.01 for every song analyzed under that subscription — a light-use account gets its money back in full; a fully-used one does not, because the analysis has already been delivered. Exporting up to 50 songs to try the results out ("a test export") never affects your eligibility. A bulk export — more than 500 songs, or more than half your library, whichever is smaller — ends your eligibility for this guarantee entirely, whether or not you request a refund afterward.
The 14-day guarantee applies to your first paid subscription with Dajent. It does not apply to renewal charges after the first period, and we may decline repeat or abusive requests (for example someone repeatedly subscribing and refunding). This guarantee is offered by us as a matter of policy in addition to your legal rights.
How to request a refund
Refund requests go through Contact support in the app (your profile menu or the Help Center) — choose the Billing Support category and tell us why you're asking. There is no self-serve refund button and no automatic system yet: a person reviews every request against the terms above and gets back to you. We don't currently promise a fixed response time, but we aim to be quick.
The Library Pass and other one-time purchases
The Library Pass and similar one-time purchases are non-refundable once analysis begins. They are not subscriptions, so the 14-day guarantee above does not apply to them.
After the guarantee window
Outside the 14-day guarantee, subscriptions are non-refundable, and we do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods when you cancel mid-cycle. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
Exceptions required by law
Nothing here limits refund or cancellation rights you have under mandatory consumer law:
- California residents keep all rights under the Automatic Renewal Law and other California consumer laws.
- EU/UK consumers keep their statutory rights, including the 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services — a right that exists independently of, and is not limited by, our own 14-day guarantee above. At checkout, if you ask for immediate access and acknowledge it, you agree to begin the service right away and understand you lose the 14-day withdrawal right once the service has been fully provided. Where the withdrawal right still applies, we will honor it.
- If you are charged in error, or the law otherwise entitles you to a refund, contact us and we will make it right.
How refunds are issued
Approved refunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe. It can take a few business days for your bank to post the refund.
